I’m a huge fan and follower of Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People. The 7th Habit of Highly Successful People, as stated by Covey, is Sharpening the Saw. Sharpening the Saw is a commitment to preserving and improving one’s self in four areas:
- • Physical
- • Social/Emotional
- • Mental
- • Spiritual
Sharpening the saw is an ongoing process based on the premise of self-improvement that allows us to stay current on new ideas and trends. It also provides us with an opportunity to learn new things and experience new opportunities.
I’m super excited that I’ll be sharpening my mental saw by attending my first blogger’s conference, SoFabU on the Road on August 29th. SoFabU on the Road is an educational opportunity for bloggers and influencers. The agenda is filled with impactful sessions like, learn how to make more money blogging, create engaging videos and tips for partnering with brands for sponsored posts.
SoFabU is open to all bloggers and influencers and I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one-day event. I’m extending an invitation to all of my blogger and influencer friends to join me in Minneapolis or to attend the SocialFabU in the city closest to you.
Here’s to seizing the day through self-improvement.
Disclaimer: I wrote this post in exchange for a discounted conference ticket; however, all opinions are mine.
