In an ever-changing world, it’s easy to get ahead of ourselves. In a world where images, situations and conversations we once only watched on television screens and thought of as fiction and entertainment are now a reality, it’s extremely easy for worry and fear to seep in. In a world filled with uncertainty, it’s expected that doubt may begin to fill our minds. In a world that has been torn upside down by an invisible virus, it’s easy for anxiety to attempt to paralyze us, but we are not powerless. WE HAVE THE POWER to control our thoughts and our responses.
When we choose to counter the negative thoughts that attempt to enter our minds with thoughts of positivity, love, hope, joy, things and people that make us smile and a belief of goodness, mercy and resiliency we focus on the things we can control, by controlling our thoughts.
“Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” – Phillipians 4:8
