My Favorite Fall Fashions + Trends

Fall has to absolutely be one of my favorite seasons and now that fall has arrived and is in full swing we can embrace all of those amazing fall fashions + trends! There is more to fall than just pumpkin spice lattes and boots, although I do love those. Because of this year’s pandemic fashion trends have had to pivot to fit in to how we are now living our day to day lives. I have put together a list of the top things you will need this fall season to keep you healthy, relaxed and looking fabulous! Here are my picks for those fall trends that are relevant to your life and today’s “new normal”.

Water, Water, Water

Fall and winter tend to be some of the dryer seasons of the year, making it a necessity to keep up on your water intake. It is recommended that adults drink half of their body weight in ounces of water each day. Easier said than done sometimes. What makes staying hydrated so important is that the human body needs water to function properly. The amount of water that you consume even can even affect your quality of sleep. Not only can water impact your quality of sleep but it can also impact your body temperature, the functionality of your organs and your cognitive ability.

Pro Tip: Something I like to do when I’m in the mood for some flavored water is to add pieces of fruit or cucumber to my water. It adds flavoring and makes it look a bit fancy.

In between those sips of water do not forget that your skin needs to stay hydrated too. The moisturizing cream that I am absolutely gaga over right now is the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream. On top of being a great moisturizer it is also anti-wrinkle, helps with fine lines and is the most important thing for today’s virtual world, it is long lasting. Even my husband Roger uses it as a face cream. Due to the pandemic more and more people are conducting meetings virtually and even having friendly get togethers using Zoom, Skype and Google Meets, which means the more and more your face will be shown and sometimes at HD levels, making it important to have a moisturized, glowing face.

Relax the Night Away

Throughout the pandemic even though everyone is staying at home, I have had countless people tell me they are having a hard time with their ability to sleep. If this sounds like you check out the sleeping sprays from This Works. This Works has an awesome pillow spray that I love to use on nights where I just can’t seem to fall asleep no matter how hard I try. These sprays will help you not only fall asleep but stay asleep. There is even a deep sleep spray available as well. Spritz a little on your pillow before you go to bed or if you want just spritz some in the air when you need to relax. This Works also has other sprays for just about any mood you are in. Check out their website and they will help you figure out what scent you need depending on what you are looking for whether it is for better sleep or even something a little more intimate.

Another great tip when it comes to relaxation is to try some CBD gummies. Although CBD does come from a marijuana plant it does contain THC, the psychoactive component of marijuana. CBD is safe for people of all ages, even family pets. The other great thing about CBD is that it is a natural way to help with calming and those with anxiety. There are many brands, types and varieties of ways to consume CBD but the brand I recommend is Mindset Wellness CBD. They have a fantastic website that makes it easy to order the type of CBD you need for your mindset. There are six different mindsets to pick from each offering their own line of CBD hemp products. As I mentioned, this CBD is derived from hemp allowing those who may not feel comfortable or for other reasons may not want to consume a marijuana plant product another option. You can get 10% off anything you purchase at www.mindset.com with the discount code, CARPE DIEM.

Fall Fashion + Trends

Now we come to my favorite part of the fall season…the fashion! Fall fashion is usually all about boots. This year people are pivoting to something just as fashion friendly but a little more comfy. I like to call them shoe booties but what they are is a combination of sneakers and booties. They go up higher on the ankle but are great for outdoor walks or light hiking. To make your outfit pop, I suggest buying the leopard print ones, they’re my fave.

Another great way to make a fashion statement during those virtual meetings and get togethers is to wear an inspirational t-shirt! Most people only see you from the waist up these days so having an inspirational shirt to wear is a great way to get across a positive message and show some personality. I love the collection of inspirational tees from www.simplytchic.com
