Fall is officially here! While the cool, crisp air may be a nice change from what can sometimes be scorching summer temperatures it can sometimes wreak havoc on our skin and hair! Do not worry because I have you covered! Here are some fall skin and hair tips and tricks for both men and women that I use every winter season and work without fail!

Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize

We all know that staying hydrated no matter what season it is, is important. In terms of skin and hair health, sometimes getting your water in throughout the day just isn’t enough. That is why keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated is so important during this season. My favorite moisturizing product is the Olay Regenerist Vitamin C + Peptide 24 Hydrating Moisturizer. This is a go-to for me especially when I need to boost my moisturizing needs. They say it makes your skin up to 2x’s brighter than other brands and I have found that to be true. I love it because it keeps my skin looking bright and evens out skin tone and does not clog my pores. I have even used it as body cream occasionally because of how much it helps to brighten and even out skin tone.

Tip: Put your eye cream in the refrigerator overnight and when you put it on in the morning the coolness will help with under eye puffiness.

Boost Your Bath Time Routine

When it is cold outside there is nothing like taking a nice hot bath, relaxing and slowing down the mental stress. I love using the wellness sets from Village Naturals. They have a eucalyptus, spearmint and menthol set as well as a juniper, menthol and orange set. They come with a bubble bath, a bath soak and body butter. The menthol is great for opening up the nasal passages and helping to soothe allergy symptoms as well. These sets also make great gifts for just about anyone.

Tip: Start with the bubble bath, layer in the bath soak and once done, towel off and massage the body butter into your skin!

Give Your Hands Some TLC

Besides our face our hands are also often victims of the colder, dryer air. It is important to keep not just your hands moisturized but also your cuticles. My favorite hand moisturizer this fall is Good Scents by Beauty Counter. It comes as a trio and is made with shea butter, grapeseed oil and jojoba oil.

Tip: While watching your favorite t.v. show moisturize your hands and rub a little extra on your cuticles. When finished put white socks on your hands and place a heating pad over your hands. This will help the moisturizer really get into those dry spots.

Hydrate

Water is always key! Proper hydration begins first from within. It is currently recommended to get half your body weight in water each day. I say the key is to drink as much water as you can especially in these dryer temperatures. Find a good water bottle, I like this fun motivational one, and take it everywhere with you! This way there is never an excuse to not stay hydrated. Staying hydrated will help your skin stay healthy and glowing and help your mental and physical performance.

Silk Pillowcase

Silk pillowcases are great for your skin during any season. They are smooth than cotton and great for your hair by helping with avoiding breakage and damage during the night. For skin it helps to prevent wrinkles but not allowing pulling on the skin.
